listen to ys by joanna newsom
i love the webring internet but here is my letterboxd where i talk about films too much. i got 42 likes on a review of poor things once & i'm on the top 3 reviews for the 358/2 days kingdom hearts movie which started a sorta feedback loop so that one's getting more likes each day cause it's one of the first reviews people actually see. that's fun.
my favourite films

i also like music
- ys by joanna newsom (2006) - "& i miss your precious heart. & miss, & miss & miss your heart. but release your precious heart, to its feast for precious hearts." - the most beautiful thing ever created. 52 minutes of the most complex & incredbile orchestration ever put to tape combined with several thousand words of the most beautiful & incredible verse ever written.
- hospice by the antlers (2009)- "don't be scared to speak. don't speak with someone's tooth. don't bargain when you're weak; don't take that sharp abuse. some patients can't be saved, but that burden's not on you. don't ever let anyone tell you you deserve that." - crushing. i have moved on from both of them, but sometimes i need to revisit them, & this record is the safest way.
- the glowing man by swans (2016)- "i'm alive. i'm alive. i'm alive. oh, i'm alive." - the loudest record ever made. the previous two albums in swans's post/rock trilogy were mired in the filth of human existence, the violence, the ugliness, the dirt. this time, we transcend. the most spiritual music i've ever encountered; evil sigur ros.
"only a phase, these dark cafe days..."
